At WMAA, a good majority of our students fall into the category we call our Juniors Program. Martial arts industry statistics suggest there is a lull in this age group, so why does our school soar above the rest, breaking records everywhere? We attribute this to our high energy, exciting, fun yet realistic classes.
Our Youth Program is well-rounded, touching on all the things that a person of this age could want to hear and see. Reality is our motto. We leave each student walking away with the three “S’s” creed; Sweating , Smiling and Striving for more. This acronym was coined many years ago by one of the best martial arts motivators in the industry, and we have been using it ever since. Each student is taught how to gain the edge in life and grab onto their personal power. Students also learn to recognize the emotions and behaviors that drive them, and how they can manage their minds and bodies to achieve greater success than they ever dreamed of.

“Do The Right Thing” Program
There is no better way for a parent to introduce their child to self-accountability while in a relaxed and productive atmosphere.
Wouldn’t it be great to be praised for all the good choices you make as opposed to always being reprimanded for the negatives?
“Do the Right Thing” Program is designed to show children that they have the power of making choices. When they make a positive decision, they are rewarded for their good effort.
The WMAA Instructors believe that consistently rewarding a child for their positive and they will develop good habits which they will carry with them into adulthood.
WMAA is the only Martial Arts school in the Westchester and the surrounding counties in New York certified to teach Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do Concepts by Bruce Lee’s protégé, Guro Dan Inosanto.
The instructors at WMAA believe ion our ability to be a positive influence on every child by using our own training and values.
RESPECT: Learning martial arts from instructors who a child repects leads to self-respect and respect for other individuals.
ROLE MODELS: At WMAA your child has positive role models teaching them their new skills. This continues to instill the positive influences parents teach them at home.
DEFUSING BULLIES: WMAA training builds self-confidence in children teaching them to recognize and avoid bully conflict.
PERFORMANCE UNDER PRESSURE: Our format is simple: create a small physical or mental challenge, teach the students to handle it and then graduate slowly until the student is comfortable.
GOAL ORIENTATION: The curriculum at WMAA is specifically designed to teach children to accept challenges in a positive way and accomplish them.
CONCENTRATION: The ability to concentrate better will cross over to the child’s academic and personal life.
PHYSICAL FITNESS: WMAA training develops agility, coordination, strength, speed, endurance, balance, and flexibility.
FULFILLING THE NEED TO BELONG:
Participation in class and team building exercises will help your child perform at their highest level. When children are confident they are able to make friends and develop good social skills.
