Confidence, Respect, Physical Fitness, Goal Setting, Teamwork, and Self-Accountability are some of the many Positive Life Skills gained at the Westchester Martial Arts Academy (WMAA).

WMAA’s exclusive "Do The Right Thing" program praises and rewards children for their positive choices. Instructors, Parents, and School Teachers work together as the students excel towards their next levels allowing them to develop good habits promoting them into successful young adults.

The WMAA family believes: "Today's Students, Tomorrow's Leaders."

My kids have been with WMAA since their opening in 2003. The WMAA staff has given them the confidence and self-esteem they need to achieve both on and off the matt.

-Sue Krippel (Mother of two Junior students)

Instructors are great with all students. My son has been attending for a year and loves it. It has even helped in his school performance. I strongly recommend WMAA!

-Vi DeCaro (Mother of a Young Adult student)

During the first session my son attended at Westchester Martial Arts Academy, one of the gurus defined discipline as "the ability to do what is right even when others aren't or when no one is looking." To me, these words summarize one of my most important jobs as a parent – raising my children to make the right choices when faced with challenges and temptations that are significantly more complicated than what I faced as a child/adolescent. When my children were little, my job was to keep them safe and loved. As they are getting older, it is essential that my children continue to build a strong foundation of character to help them survive, and thrive, in the pressure-filled years ahead.

-Kimberley Busel (Mother of a Juniors Student)

I have seen positive changes in my son since joining the WMAA. His concentration has improved and he is a lot more responsible around the house. Joining the Leadership Program has taught him maturity, respect and tolerance. He looks forward to every martial arts day and I would thoroughly recommend the program.

-Kate Tinkler (Mother of Junior Black Belt Club Student)

If a parent has to pick one activity for his/her child to participate in, this program is an excellent choice. It reinforces good work habits in school, home and Martial arts. The WMAA staff promotes the children to develop both mentally and physically encouraging them to build great leadership and teamwork skills allowing them to have respect for their community and themselves.

-Debra Lupardo (Mother of Juniors Black Belt Student)

My son had tried so many gymnastic programs and felt uncomfortable in all of them.Westchester Martial Arts is a completely different experience for him. It is very physically demanding for him and he works hard at it. It has helped him gain confidence and strength. The classes are small which helps a shy child to feel more comfortable. The instructors are wonderful; firm, reassuring, fun and kind. My son loves Kickin' Kubs and will go on as he says "to get his black belt". I am so pleased to have found the perfect activity to help increase his concentration, discipline, confidence as well as physical fitness. I highly recommend Westchester Martial Arts Academy for everyone.

-Sonta Giamber-Frindt (Mother of Lil' Dragon)

An after school karate program that Michael is involved in has helped to shape his positive attitude and more peaceful classroom behavior. His family and I were asked regularly to reflect on his overall behavior and school performance before his promotions. This has been a tremendous help in reminding and focusing him. Michael has been a great asset to our classroom.
